Hi: I thought it best to put this in its own thread.
I have had strange results using the time signature tool. This is with music already entered into the score, and the score initially all in 4/4. For example, I clicked on a bar to change it from 4/4 to 2/4 (and checked "rebar"), selected that bar only, and got two bars of 2/4. So, it divided the bar I selected into two 2/4 bars rather than making one 2/4 and reflowing the rest of the score. I selected a 4/4 bar to change from there to the end of the piece to 3/4 and some measures are off by one or two beats. In other words, the music no longer lines up.
