Right -- I mentioned this issue on the list a few days ago. I agree
that it's just incredibly bad behavior.
On the issue of blame -- no, Garritan is technically not to blame for
this situation, but it is still their product, and there needs to be
more of a "buck stops here" mentality. Native Instruments have been
responsible for _so_ many screwups and delays and headaches that I
really think it's time Garritan sever their relationship with them.
I understand at one point they were pursuing their own in-house
player -- I don't know if this is still under development, but if it
is, I hope they make it a priority.
Cheers,
- Darcy

That is ***NOT*** Gary's doing. It is NI's doing.
PLEASE do not blame Gary for this!!!
Several people have found a workaround for this; it's posted on the
Garritan forum. If I didn't have to go practice, I'd find it for you.
But please don't blame Garritan for this.

Subject: [Finale] Full GPO and the KONTAKT2 Update
I just discovered that the GPO update to use the KONTAKT2 controls
will
erase all of your KONTAKT(1) libraries and render the use of 2006 GPO
unusable.
This is highly irresponsible of Garritan, I believe. While I admire
Gary's
product, this latest discovery saddens me.
