Hi all:
I have a question about the use of 'pizzicato' and 'arco.'
Lets say you have movement 2 with pizzicato strings and a solo flute.
Next is movement 3, which has it's own tempo header, and indented margins
to let you know it's yes, the start of a new movement.
Should you include an editorial "arco," or is it coventional wisdom that you
don't
need to add such a marking?
Thanks for your advice!

To remove all doubt I think that including "arco" at the start of the
string parts of the new movement would help.
The same would go for including "pizzicato" even if it were continuing
from the pizzicato of movement 2.
I feel it's best to remove all doubt in such instances by being precise
with the markings.
