And then very carefully proofread the results, as things may be 
rebeamed and renotated with (or without) ties that were in the 
original. This is because it will be retranscribed to conform to the 
meter (the most unlikely results happen in a meter like 4/4 where it 
is usually notated as though each measure is actually 2/4 + 2/4, 
except when it's *not* notated that way, which is fairly arbitrary, 
and not something Finale's retranscribing algorithms are likely to 
guess correctly about 100% of the time).

This is also true for the copy/paste method that someone else 
suggested.
