I think you're mostly arguing against a point of view that nobody on the list has actually advocated in the present discussion (though it's often seen when this subject comes up here and elsewhere). And Darcy would be the last person who'd ever make the argument you're alleging, and he certainly hasn't done so in this thread. -- David W.
