MS Photo Editor won't open bitmapped pictures (on my XP system, at least). Save the file from bmp to jpg first (try something other than Irfanview and see whether yo get better results), and then use MS Photo Editor to save it as tif. before saving, click on the More... button and make sure LZW compression isn't selected.
I just did a handful of these today and had no problem. YMMV, apparently, if you've tried this. Cecil Rigby Harrock Hall Music [EMAIL PROTECTED] I have repeatedly tried to insert graphics that have been saved as NON-compressed TIF files (originally MS Paint bitmaps, then converted to tiffs in either Irfanview or MS Photo Editor).
