The one time I needed to do this, I had just been working with "altered
unisons" (a chord containing a F# and an F-natural), so the way I did it
was to create such a note, place the noteheads right on top of each
other, and adjust the accidentals. Using the idea of an articulation (as
Robert suggested) did not occur to me at the time, but is more elegant
than my approach.
