Yeah, thanks. Right after I posted the question, I found the box in
question. I knew Finale had to have a solution for that particular
problem.

In "expression assignment" (I think) there's a check box for
"individual positioning." I rough out the placement, then go back,
check individual positioning, then fine tune.
