Yes, David, I am indeed a SHE. My name is what happens when your parents get creative because the boy they expected to name "_____________, Jr." turns out to be a girl. :)

Thanks to all who chimed in. I decided to go with the upgrade to 2009, mainly because of the new Aria Player (must hear that in action!) and VST support. And $99.95 plus shipping, a total of $109.99, is as good as the old "amnesty" upgrade was. I'll stick with 2009 for a few years since there's not likely to be a $50-with-free-shipping-upgrade-special anytime soon. :)

In any event, yes, I misremembered the details. Thurletta said that
s/he had upgraded to 2007 from 2002 with a previous "amnesty" upgrade
offer.
I still think that the fact that someone would skip 5 versions
indicates that it's unlikely that they would be upgrading again after
only 6 months.
Well, except for the fact that nobody with any sense starts using a
new version of Finale for production use until after the first patch
is released (i.e., Finale 2010a), so it's really a lot longer than 6
months from now.
I say that if Thurletta finds what's in 2008 and 2009 to be a
compelling upgrade over 2007, then there's no reason at all to wait
until the end of 2009 for 2010a.
But, again, I'm quite hostile to the concept of upgrading every time
a new version comes out.
