I used speedy entry to select the grace note.....it would move to where I'd place it but, it moved right back when I would exit it.
It seems to work okay in the notation staff but, not in the tab staff.

I was playing with this just now and found something I had not noticed
before: Under "Document/Document Options/Spacing" there is "Grace Note
Spacing." Try checking "keep current." That seems to help.
