note the open low C string (bass clef). i want to avoid using a second
staff, there is no real justification in this case.
i'm not conerned with playback so i can make it "look" right with wrong
playback but i don't like doing things like that, prefer to find a
solution that is not a kludge. also with this particular kludge i have
to manually place the clef near the main note and shift the grace note
passage to the left each time; any subsequent spacing adjustments would
mean having to redo this.
my normal grace note trick (75% tuplets in another layer) isn't ideal
here, in this passage i need the grace notes to not affect spacing wthin
the beat of the real rhythm.
Insert a measure with an invisible barline. Set it to ignore measure
numbers.
