Help, please. Playback worked and now playback does not work. Yesterday it worked. Today it played back approx. 26 measures, 7 staves, 7 instruments and then it froze. Since then, absolutely no sound with MIDI. Preferences were trashed. Multiple restarts, including a Safe Boot to repair permissions.
Mac Audio/MIDI setup had interface icon grayed after the last restart, so I downloaded and installed new driver from M-Audio for the Midisport 2x2, which is now recognized and attached to the Triton. MIDI/Internal speaker is set up for the Triton : Core MIDI input and output devices both Triton. (Not italic) Instrument list has send patches before play checked. MIDI thru is checked but the patch changes are not being received by the Triton. It's not a cable issue as the Triton sounds are getting to speakers but not with Finale. Speedy has use MIDI device for input checked but will only enter rests, not notes. What am I missing? I've been with Finale since version 1 and I've never had problems like this. Trouble started when I set up this new iMac via firewire transfer from my MacBook Pro rather than load each app one by one. Both computers using some OS.
