I've created a new plug-in called JW Rhythm Copy. It copies a rhythm
pattern from one source region (layer 1) to a destination region (any
layers and any number of staves). The pitches are kept in the
destination region. If the source contains articulations, these are
copied to the destination.
This plug-in is quite a productivity booster IMO and can be used for
many different tasks. Download from the Finale Tips Site (Downloads
section - plug-ins for Windows) if you need it. For Finale/Windows 2010
and later.

take a look at it, it shows some advanced use of the plug-in.
