Interaction between printer and video drivers would be the most 
likely cause, seems to me. Remember that in order for WYSYWIG to 
work, the screen and the printing have to use the same algorithms to 
calculate pixel positions, and the solution on Windows to this is 
that those calculations are based on data from the PRINTER DRIVER, 
but in interaction with the video driver.

Since you're printing to the same printer driver (it's a PDF), I'd 
check the video drivers, maybe try something generic instead of 
hardware-branded.
