I hear you, I have a 6 year old laptop that I am trying to make survive for
another year. No use replacing the HD in such an old machine, an external drive
defeats the convenience of portability, and space is at a premium.

Drop the Garritan and Aria Player. The Garritan sounds are heavy and will free
up plenty of room, especially if all you need is another year and can deal with
General MIDI playback.

I got rid of all my unused printer definitions too and saved a bunch of space
on my laptop, but discovered that I lost the ability to plug into a guest
printer, so I reinstalled them. (I am on a Mac.)
