Set up the parts as usual, then extract them. The extracted parts will retain the formatting you did, so if you have to make changes later, you won't have to completely redo everything, just re-extract.
The grace notes will be spaced correctly in the extracted part. Open a tech support case complaining about this, as they should have fixed it long ago.
