Hi Darcy, I have an HP5100 with a duplexer and it's still going strong after 9 years. Like Chuck, the duplexer crapped out for me after 6 years, and I was able to get a new replacement from eBay for a lot less than from HP. And that is still going fine at this point. This is my 3rd HP printer over 20+ years and it's basically a tank.
