To: <finale@shsu.edu> Message-ID: <8cfac1c54b4b52d-2154-2a...@webmail-m105.sysops.aol.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" When I asked about this some time ago, someone remarked "well it is the key of C." revealing their lack of knowledge. In a complex orchestral piece, the composer sometimes does not want a key signature, since there would be a plethora of accidentals no matter what key you are in. One example is 12-tone music a la Schoenberg. The way Finale is set up, when you transpose to trumpet or some other transposing instrument, if you specify the key of C, the transposed instruments would have a key signature, something you DON'T WANT. I am now working on a song that has so many key signature changes, it's easier to just have NO key signature at all. Is there an easy way around this? ------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
