Instead of using an iPad or even an Android tablet you might want to
consider a Dell Venue 8 Pro...it is a full blown 8" Windows tablet...not
Windows RT. As such you can run Finale directly on it...I have a demo
of 2014 installed on mine as a test and you can get an "active" stylus
from Dell that gives you very fine control on the tablet.

I bought mine through Walmart for about $250 for a 32 gig version before
Christmas...there are others out there in the low to mid $300-$350
range...(an HP Omni 10 for about $399 would be a great sub for an
iPad.) Get a 64 gig sd card to install in the tablet for your storage.)

Admittedly I'm a tech junkie, I have 2 iPads (gen 1 and a latest gen), a
10" Android tablet, a 7" Android tablet, a nook and my Dell Venue 8. I
have tried to do something on the iPad but I have never been satisfied
with anything other than basic work. The Venue 8 Pro will even talk to
my printers and imports all of my Finale work off my home server.

I really, really like it.

You might want to consider it.
