I'm arranging a tune that will have several stopping points. It's ceremonial music that can be used as underscoring for processions, etc.
I think the best way to indicate this in the music is to relabel 1st and 2nd endings as "fine" and "to go on…". But, which should come first? Are there any suggestions on a different approach?
