When I use the text tool in 2014.5 (running El Capitan) to create a text block, the insertion point appears above and to the right of the box, rather than in it. As I type, it continues to track my typing, but always above and to the right. This makes it almost impossible to edit a text block with any precision, because placing the cursor at a particular point in the text does NOT bring the insertion point to that point, and clicking inside the box unchecks the box!
