An acquaintance of mine needs to import percussion parts from Sibelius
using Music XML and he is having trouble (as described below). Does anyone
have any suggestions?

Hi Robert,

I'm in a big mess at the moment.
The new musical supervisor of the international productions of "The Lion
King" insists on doing new, fully notated drum parts in Sibelius and then
sending me an xml file that I'm supposed to import into Finale.

When I do this, the part looks perfect in Sibelius, but when the xml drum
line appears in Finale all the pitches (instruments) in both the upper and
lower voices are on the same line (the bottom staff line). Voice 1 is
indeed all the stems-up notes and Voice 2 is the stem down notes (mostly
bass drum).
I can use the Percussion Transposition option in Finale to put the notes in
the right places, but I have to do this measure by measure. If I have to do
this for all the 2300 measures in "The Lion King" score, I'll go mad.

Do you have any experience with this?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Best,
Don
