Imagine my surprise! I had not looked closely at the program of the Louisville Orchestra concert I attended this morning, and all of a sudden the Orchestra formed in a big band formation and conductor Teddy Abrams started talking about our good list friend Darcy James Argue, and his piece "Transit" that we were about to hear.
Very good piece, very well played, and extremely well-received by the audience, (which tends to be, well, old - we always called it the Blue Hair concert when I was in the orchestra.)
