Hi Barbara, When I do this in 14.5, using Speedy Entry, in the too many beats dialog, if I tell it to move the extra notes into the next measure, it does just that. It only fills the rest of the measure when I exit the Speedy edit pane, not before. I do have fill with rests checked. Are you doing this differently, Simple entry perhaps?
