Another TGTools option I use all the time is TGTools->Parts->Smart Explosion of multi-part staves. I'm not sure if it helps in this particular instance, but it is great for separating out parts even in the score. Like, you can enter three trumpet parts as chords and then split them onto the separate score staves with the plugin. You can do this a few bars at a time or all at once, depending on your needs. It's a huge time saver.
