Gardening and Climate Change Conference
Saturday, March 29, 2014, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
CCE-Tompkins, 615 Willow Avenue, Ithaca NY
Choose from 10 different eco-gardening workshops in one day! This year's theme
is Gardening and Climate Change - find out how good gardening practices can
help reduce greenhouse emissions by reducing food miles and increasing carbon
sequestration while providing food and beauty around your home. Learn how to
cook using renewable energy - solar cookers, solar burners and cooking on a
woodstove - and how to preserve the harvest by canning, freezing and
dehydrating.
Cost: $8 per class or a special rate of $25 for 4 classes. Participants may
bring a bag lunch to eat at CCE or go out for lunch at nearby restaurants.
Space is limited! Download a brochure and registration form on the CCE-Tompkins
website: http://ccetompkins.org/garden/spring-gardening
