Karen Cantor, the woman who filmed *Return*, an indigenous permaculture/food project, is showing her film at the Friends Third Street Meeting House on Third and Madison in Ithaca at 7 pm on October 17 (a Thursday night). At 6, there will be precontact dinner. Karen will speak and answer questions after the film till 8:30. No one will be turned away, but there is a suggested donation of 5-10 dollars since the location costs $40 and Karen usually requires $150 for a public viewing.
A little more info, in case you were wondering about the term "precontact meal". This meal prior to the screening will feature Native food ways. The film documents how a volunteer group received many health benefits after about 3 months on this diet.
