2024 Master Composter Training

Application Deadline: 11:59pm on Monday, January 29

MEETS: (10) Thursday evenings, 6:00 - 8:00pm, from February 15 - May 2 (no
class March 28, or April 4)

Classes will be held in person at CCETC, 615 Willow Ave unless it becomes
necessary to hold a class over Zoom.

Help reduce waste, protect the environment, and improve gardens by teaching
others to compost in Tompkins County!

Join other enthusiastic volunteers for 10 in-depth, weekly classes, and ~2
hours/week of practical learning outside of class. Classes cover a variety of
compost and education topics that will prepare you to become a compost educator
in Tompkins County. Training outside of class includes hands-on composting,
assisting at events, attending field trips, researching compost topics, and
creating a compost mini presentation. After training, use your new compost
know-how and teaching experience to help others in the community.

Training classes will be held every Thursday evening, 6:00 - 8:00pm, from
February 15 to May 2. To accommodate school breaks, classes will not be held on
March 28, or April 4.
