I did as suggested but the result was identical. I didn't spot
earlier errors. The binary install works, but "fink list" reports it
needs updating.
I note that it appears to be looking for directories
(/sw/src/libxml2-2.4.18-3/libxml2-2.4.18/.libs)
which, indeed, do not exist. The /sw/src/ directory contains
[localhost:/sw/src] ssanders% ls libxml*
libxml-1.8.17.tar.gz libxml2-2.4.13.tar.gz libxml2-2.4.18.tar.gz
Should I just ignore the "outdated" categorization?
