Thanks to David R. Morrison I was able to compile "xastir" with the addition of "-force_flat_namespace" to the LDFLAGS environment variable. (I have a diff of "configure" if anyone needs it.) While we still need to get "strptime" added somehow (you can comment it out or look for source) and need to package "xastir" for Fink, this got it up and running.
