I'm running Mac OS X.
I've installed fink.
I've installed KDE (with Pauls help::THANKS::)
Now, how to run it. On the website it clearly states,

"all you need to do is make an ~/.xinitrc file with
the following line in it:

source /sw/bin/init.sh
/sw/bin/startkde "

What is a .xinitrc file? Or more importantly,
Where do I put the .xinitrc file after I've created
it?
And, is it so simple as opening up a text editor,
copying the two lines required and saving it as a file
named ".xinitrc"?

thanks for the help!
