I am a french student starting programmation with fortran and I wonder
if I can use Fink on this purposes. Thanks a lot for your answer I am
really researching a Fortran compilator (like Visual Fortran...) for
Mac OS X.2 Regards
I don't know if there is something like Visual Fortran for Mac.
Well, there is Absoft's Pro Fortran for OS X. commercial product.

But it
would be expensive I guess. I used for my programming g77 and vim and
something like ctags etc.. Vim can do highlight etc. For Fortran and me
that is absolut sufficient.
I don't think there has been any work in the open source area on an IDE
for Fortran. Xemacs and DDD might work, but having had no need to
work in Fortran for many years I have no direct experience.
