Unfortunately, there is no public information available yet on these cases. Even the package database on Fink's web site does not tell whether a package is contained in the binary distribution.
You best bet right now, if you are using the new binary distribution, is to use FinkCommander. It will tell you whether a package exists in binary form or not.
