Hi all.
Sounds like a law firm...
Well, I took the advice given by the forum concerning my problem with Atlas
failing to compile. I left my machine alone and Atlas and Grass now work!!
Congrats. In my place, ATLAS was a big beast hard to tame.
Has anyone had trouble with GNOME after installing 10.2.3? X11 just hangs. I
wanted to demo it for someone this weekend and it did not work at all. I
tried to remove and then re-install, that did not work either. Then I tried
to re-index and that too had no effect? Any ideas? When gnome worked I would
get the same error message, but it would continue to boot... Weird.
I'm not using GNOME. So, I can't help for this.
So now the GTK warning just sits there. I usually run gnome in XDarwin butThat's harmless. In a nutshell, all you need to do is add the following line in your .xinitrc.
for the picture I used the Orobor X window manager to get the screen shot.
unset LANG (for bash user)
unsetenv LANG (for (t)csh users)
For more info, check out http://fink.sourceforge.net/doc/x11/trouble.php#locale.
FYI, Gdk is not GTK.
Cheers,
Kow
