I encountered the following while updating g77: The console came up
with a "conftest.crash.log" in the middle of configuration for the
build of g77:

At the time, I had Terminal open with three green transparent windows,
Navigator/chimera 0.6 with 2 tabs in one window, CPUMonitor,
Calculator, Print Center, System Preferences, and ASM were running, and
Mail was opening. This is in MacOS X 10.2.3, and the most recent
versions of the apps. Machine is a dual-GHz G4 MDD, 512 MB RAM, stock
80 GB ATA drive, 17" LCD display.
The crash did not seem to interrupt the build of g77.
