Hi, I have installed Fink on 10.3. However, everytime I want to install the bitchx package it hangs on "unpacking ..."
I've reinstalled Fink many times, tried via dselect and apt-get directly. Also tried "fink scanpackages", to not get the dselect errors when updating the package list. This is when I want to install the bitchx-common package: apt-get install bitchx-common Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done The following NEW packages will be installed: bitchx-common 0 packages upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Need to get 736kB of archives. After unpacking 0B will be used. Get:1 http://us.dl.sourceforge.net 10.3/release/main bitchx-common 1.0c19-5 [736kB] Fetched 736kB in 8s (88.3kB/s) Selecting previously deselected package bitchx-common. (Reading database ... 3926 files and directories currently installed.) Unpacking bitchx-common (from .../bitchx-common_1.0c19-5_darwin-powerpc.deb) ... It just hangs here. Nothing happens. It seems however that it get to install some files since there is a /sw/lib/bitchx directory in place. Any ideas? Thanks. /Stefan ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: ApacheCon 2003, 16-19 November in Las Vegas.
