Any other ideas, guys? I hate to be stuck with old versions of Gaim and other programs. I tried tcsh and still get the same error. I never had problem bash in the past. :(
The gaim package in 10.2-gcc3.3 stable indeed has a broken dependency. Complain to the maintainer about it. If you really want it, activate the unstable tree (see FAQ how to do this).
