But I was wondering if anyone has ***SUCCESSFULLY*** used TrueType fonts in
LaTex. I'm reading one of the "installation guides" that exist for converting a
TTF to Type 1 and I swear it's making me re-think getting this EE PhD degree.
I do a fair amount of plain TeX (not LaTeX) but I'm unaware of such a use for Type 1 fonts. I suppose they might be used by pdftex (?)
BTW, I don't see any relevance problem in your letter. After all, lots of Fink users use LaTeX.
