I get the same error. I click "don't delete" and gnome loads full screen with no X11 (Apple) menu bar as if I were running a Linux distro.
Think key is how .xinitric is written. Copied my version from somewhere on the net. Happy to share if there is interest.
Would like to get rid of the mixer error message though if anyone has advice.

I believe this is because Apple X11 sets the screen area to include the menubar.

I am having the same exact problem. I just clicked to delete it for now and

move on, but the top panel is not dispalying properly. It is behind

(underneath), the Apple X11 menu. Sometimes, it does not even

appear except as a little square in the upper left corner of my screen.

I am running 10.3.2 and fink version:

Package manager version: 0.18.0

Distribution version: 0.6.2.cvs

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian
