Explicitly invoke it with /usr/local/bin/python, or put /usr/local/bin ahead of /sw/bin in your PATH.

You can have python22 and python23 simultaneously installed by Fink, too.

Deal All:

I just installed python 2.3 from source on /usr/local/ ; however, I still have have python2.2 installed on /sw directory (from FINK). I wonder how can to invoke the new version of python (2.3) at the terminal and still be able to have the prior version from FINK? Shall I remove the FINK version of python without having problems later on on other dependencies or programs?
Thanks for the help.
