This is the version I got when I ran "fink install xdvi".  Does fink 
have the latest version of xdvi?  If so, how do I install it?

This is XDVI version 22.74 running on OS X 10.3.2.
Why are you running this old version? Even the bindist for Panther has 
22.77 nowadays. AFAIK this bug has been fixed a couple of months ago.
