Sure. Check in /sw/bin for a script called pathsetup.sh (or possibly pathsetup.command). If you run that it should, among other things, add /sw/bin and /sw/sbin to your PATH so that you can run stuff automatically.

Also, you can use all of the standard dpkg options to hunt for files (since you also have a Debian box, I assume you know about these).

When I install any thing from fink I cannot need to just run it straight from root or any-other user for that matter. I always have to do a "find / -name <app>" to find my newly downloaded package. Is there a way to just add "/sw/bin" to my user account someplace? A little help would be great.
