I ran into a weird one today. I'm trying to install 0.6.2 from the .pkg on a OS 10.3.3 server install on an XserveG4. When the installer is finished, instead of leaving a nice /sw directory with all the goodies in it, there exists a link to //sw. 'ls -l /' shows the following:
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root admin 4 30 Mar 18:38 sw -> //sw The shell complains about too many levels of symbollic links...its just sad. The only really unusual things about this config are: - mirrored drives - is capable of authenticating using the AD Plug-in, but the install user is not doing this - I was messing about trying to enable quotas, but near as I can tell I wasn't successful (thus the fink install to run webmin to easily work with quotas.) - Legato Networker client installed Anyone see such oddities before? My other fink installs have gone well. -g ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
