Added to .xinitrc

quartz-wm --only-proxy &
source /sw/bin/init.sh
export KDEWM=kwin
/sw/bin/startkde >/tmp/kde.log 2>&1

For Sound in KDE try:
Select
Settings -> Control Settings -> Sound and Multimedia -> Sound System
Select the hardware tab

Try using the Enlighten Daemon for the audio driver. (The General tab has a test sound button and a enable sound check mark.

Hi everybody,
I just installed fink from scratch and then installed some kde-stuff (kde-base, kde-games. kmail & quanta).
Thing is kde doesn't recognize mouse-clicks.
I can't click anything, or better I can't click anything with the left button, the right is recognized for some strange reason so at least I can logout again without any problems...

I already put this:
export KDEWM=kwin
exec startkde >/tmp/kde.log 2>&1
in the xinitrc file which I copied form somewhere (like explained in the docs) to my home folder, but it still doesn't work.

Another thing is that I always get an error message from the kde-soundsystem while starting up. This might be the same I had a while ago in debian, so I hope I will be able to solve this when I can start configuring KDE, but for this I need the mouse...

I'm running Mac OS X 10.3.3 with the April X-Code (1.2 is it?) installed on a 667 G4 Ti-Book, fink is the latest version, at least I guess so as I run fink self-update on sunday. KDE is installed from unstable.

Any hints?
