If you go into the terminal and do a ls -all you'll see a folder named .qt which is owned by root. Just execute:
sudo chown -R <yourusername>:<yourusername> .qt/

This doesn't work, though - Terminal generates an error. There's no group with the same name as my username.
This is only partly true. In 10.0-10.2, a new user was added to the group 'staff'. Under 10.3, existing users after an update were kept as <user>:staff, but any new users were created with <user>:<user> membership, so the above solution is correct for new 10.3 users.
