The version of Fink I installed is 0.6.3 and 10.2.8 for OSX.
But I just noticed it's, in fact, 0.7.0!

I downloaded the tar ball from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/fink/fink-0.6.3-full.tar.gz.
Should I remove current Fink and reinstall 0.6.3?

It may be all right. I think I saw a message on the lists about someone else who showed the same version number in the same situation.
Try running "fink reinstall fink".
