ok ! The selfupdate was finally working ! uff ! But now starts the next problem :
% fink update-all
is not working because of a missing gcc3.1 compiler see :
http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/comp-general.php?phpLang=en#gcc2
the only old gcc I have found on my Xtools CDs is version gcc2.95.2, which I
installed, but I am still getting
% Failed: Can't resolve dependency "gcc3.1" for package "xfree86-4.4.0-13" (no matching packages/versions found)
Apparently I have still have only the 3.3 version of gcc :
% gcc -v Reading specs from /usr/libexec/gcc/darwin/ppc/3.3/specs Thread model: posix gcc version 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1671)
Please, where can I find the old 3.1 version of gcc ? I looked over all older installers, which I downloaded earlier, my Xtools CD and on the Developer Pages of Apple.
thank you all
marek
It's supposed to be included with XCode. Is it not in the Packages folder of your XCode CD?
