Hi Robert, I am using Microsoft Entorage 2004 to solve my problem for now. However, I do not like it for several reasons. The main reason is because it is proprietary software and stores everything in a single data base that will crash after the database reaches 2 or 4 GBytes of data.
Evolution 2.0.4 is nice because it can store mail in mbox or maildir format and is capable of syncing to palm devices and it works on an exchange server.

Robert, I don't know if I will have a time to do put the package together since it requires a lot of time that I don't have right now. I will probably continue to use Entourage in near future unless a maintainer comes along and package this for us in version 2.0.4.

I would even be willing to pay the maintainer to put the package together so that I can switch from M$ to evolution. If the maintainer doesn't accept money, then I could simply make a donation to further the objectives of the Fink foundation.

thx

At work we are also required to use an exchange server for our calendars so I would be interested in how you solve this.

Since 10.3, our LAN administrator has us using RDC to connect to the exchange server.

Hi Bill, I installed Xcode 1.5 and I am still not getting it work. Therefore, I am giving up on Evolution. From what I understand now, Evolution 1.4.6 isn't even capable of connecting to an exchange server which is a must for me. I hear that Evolution 2.0.4 is the lastest version and is capable of connecting to an exchange server.
Whatever mail client I use, it must be able to except calendar invitation from outlook users through the exchange server.
Do you know if http://sylpheed-claws.sourceforge.net/downloads.php
work on an exchange server?
thx
