Any ideas?
Because of some header conflicts (and because, for historical reasons,
we don't use the versioned $PREFIX/lib/qt-<version> style of qt
installation), our Qt installs libraries in $PREFIX/lib but headers in
$PREFIX/include/qt.
For most KDE apps, it's enough to do:
./configure --prefix=/usr/local --with-qt-dir=/sw \
--with-qt-includes=/sw/include/qt
You may or may not also want to add "--with-extra-includes=/sw/include
--with-extra-libs=/sw/lib" depending on the app.
If that doesn't work, then you may have to patch configure to look in
$QTDIR/include/qt but that's pretty rare.
