Meanwhile, somewhat related to my other messages on gcc4-shlibs problems, when I was installing the giflib packages I received this message: dpkg: serious warning: files list file for package `fink-buildlock-gcc4-4.1.0-1' missing, assuming package has no files currently installed. Does this provide any hints to my other problem? -- Chip
